Adrian Klisura
Clinical Psychologist (registrar)
BPsych, BA(Psych)Hons, MPsych(Pro) MPsych (Clin)Adrian works with children, adolescents and adults and consults in West Perth and Como.
I work with children, teens, and adults to address a range of sleep-related issues, including insomnia, chronic nightmares, separation anxiety, circadian rhythm disruptions, adjusting to CPAP and OSA therapies, and fatigue. I appreciate the complex interplay between sleep health, wellbeing, and performance. Alongside treating sleep complaints, where indicated, I also provide therapy for anxiety, stress, low mood, trauma, grief and loss, anger, and low self-esteem. My approach is welcoming, supportive, and tailored to each person’s unique needs, ensuring a safe and effective space for progress.
I am deeply committed to evidence-based practice and draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also use bright light therapy to support shift workers, teenagers, and others with circadian rhythm (sleep timing) disruptions. By integrating these approaches, I aim to help clients not only overcome sleep difficulties but also improve their overall emotional well-being, resilience, and sense of self-worth.
Recognising that every individual is unique, I tailor my interventions to best support the specific needs of each client, whether they’re a child, adolescent, or adult. My goal is to empower clients and their families to achieve improved sleep health, emotional balance, and improved quality of life.
