Jessica sees adolescents 15+ and adults
I enjoy working with teenagers and adults to help them regain a healthy sleep pattern. This might involve establishing more helpful routines, implementing relaxation strategies, managing a busy mind, reducing stress, establishing a healthy life balance, or working to reduce nighttime fears. My aim in working with clients is to help them build a sense of motivation and understanding of their sleep disturbance. After conducting a holistic assessment, I establish a treatment plan with my clients that incorporates evidence based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
I finished my undergraduate studies in 2010 at the University of Western Australia. Since then I’ve worked in public mental health and private practice and have enjoyed working with varied client presentations.
CBT for Insomnia has a strong evidence base and clients have found treatment to be highly effective, regardless of how many years they have suffered with poor sleep. Great improvements in sleep and daytime energy can often be achieved after only a handful of sessions. Indeed, treatment of Insomnia has become a particular area of interest after joining the Jeffery&Ree team in 2013.
I also enjoy presenting seminars on Insomnia and how to improve sleep. A particular focus over the last few years has been talking to high school students about how they can make changes to get the most out of their sleep.
Many clients suffer with poor sleep alongside mood and/or anxiety problems. Working to improve sleep as well as managing mood or anxiety difficulties can bring about positive results. My broad experience means I am well placed to assist with sleep and a range of other concerns.

- Circadian Rhythm problems such as Delayed Sleep Phase / Advanced Sleep Phase
- Recurrent nightmares
- Overreliance on sleep medication
- Difficulty relaxing into sleep (overthinking, feeling too alert, tense etc)
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- Trauma-related sleep difficulty
- Poor sleep related to chronic health concerns (chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome)
