BSc(Hons) MPsych (Clinical)
Michelle sees children (age 5+), adolescents, and adults.
I am dedicated to providing high quality, caring, individualised treatment to my clients. I've undergone additional training in treating sleep problems and have been consulting with the Sleep Matters team for 5 years. I work across the age span, treating children, teens and adults with sleep difficulties. I often work with Insomnia, nighttime worries & fears, and establishing helpful bedtime routines.
I have over 14 years of clinical experience. I have worked in the United Kingdom, Sydney and Perth across adult mental health and child and adolescent services.
My training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I have undertaken specialist training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Circle of Security and Family Therapy. My qualifications include a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from the University of Western Australia. I am fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
In addition to sleep difficulty I have a keen interest in the area of eating disorders. I have presented at a number of national conferences, and published papers and book chapters in the field of obesity and eating disorders. I work part-time in private practice and also supervise clinicians on a multi-site randomized controlled trial of a treatment for eating disorders.
