Olivia sees adolescents (15+) and adults in West Perth
For the past several years Olivia has been working full time in a health department outpatient clinical psychology service, and she’s excited to join Sleep Matters to expand her area of work into the private sector.
As well as exemplary training and experience, Olivia brings with her a warm and professional manner and a strong desire to assist her clients in their journey towards improved sleep, fatigue and wellbeing.
Olivia enjoys working with clients from age 15 through to older adulthood.
Clients presenting with a range of sleep difficulties will be in capable hands with Dr Olivia Carter.
Sleep difficulties include insomnia, hypersomnia, shiftwork related problems, circadian rhythm disorders, and sleep difficulties with co-existing low mood, anxiety, and/or stress. Olivia works to help her clients to understand their sleep patterns, manage their over active minds and engage in routines that assist sleep.
Olivia completed her training at the University of Western Australia, and she has experience working with adults and adolescents (in both individual and group treatment settings) presenting with a range of issues.
Olivia is dedicated to delivering effective, evidence-based therapies that have been well-researched, and she is conscious of balancing treatment protocols with the individual needs of each client she sees. She continues to be actively involved in research and serves on a number of professional committees.
